1 review for MK1 SSH
Adam –
This is a complicated review: I give the knife 4.5 stars and the sheath 3 stars.
I’ll start with the sheath. The idea of having the sheath detach from the belt holder is nice, but it doesn’t work very well. On the knife I received, it’s very easy to knock the sheath loose from the buttons/rivets that hold it to the belt part. The knife’s bolster gets a little hung up on the 2nd rivet when putting it back in the sheath sometimes. That’s my main complaint about this knife. I might try to add some backing and a few stitches to attach the 2 pieces together, or just carry the knife sheath part in my pocket or a bag. That’s the 3 star part of the review.
For the knife itself, I love the size and design. The handle is really comfortable and the overall shape allows your to align it with your index finger for precise cutting. It came really sharp out of the box. The reason I gave 4.5 stars is because there was a metal burr on an edge of the spine. I was pretty easy to remove with a few passes from the edge of a sharpening stone though.
Overall, I’m happy with my purchase. I bought it in USD and shipped to the US. It’s a good value, especially considering it was made by artisans in an active war zone.
