By merging our knowledge and passion for bushcraft, we’ve developed an exceptional tool that performs brilliantly in both bushcraft and survival situations!
The First Bushmate
November 9, 2023, marked a significant date for BPS Knives as we proudly introduced a collaborative project with Dutch Bushcraft Knives – the bushcraft knife Bushmate. Designed by the renowned DBK team, the knife was expertly crafted by the artisans at BPS Knives.
The journey to creating the Bushmate began with a rigorous crash test conducted by Maarten and Mikkie, famous YouTube bloggers and knife testing experts from the Netherlands. Having extensively tested hundreds of knives, they were the perfect candidates to put our products to the test. Their frank, yet objective assessments provided invaluable insights, and we were thrilled to see our knives pass their evaluations.
This successful collaboration laid the groundwork for the Bushmate’s development. Impressed by the exceptional quality of BPS Knives, Maarten and Mikkie expressed their desire to partner with us, ultimately leading to the birth of the Bushmate. This Ukrainian bushcraft knife embodies the spirit of both Ukrainian craftsmanship and Dutch ingenuity, establishing a strong bond between the two cultures.
Now, one year later, we are excited to unveil the full tang bushcraft knife Bushmate 2.0 – a knife that enhances the legendary original, making it stronger, more versatile, and even more reliable for bushcraft enthusiasts.

The Bushmate 2.0 has some smart upgrades that improve its performance and look.
Enhanced Sharpening
The Bushmate 2.0 is designed with a Scandinavian grind, which is especially great for working with wood. This sharpening style provides excellent slicing power, making it ideal for various bushcraft tasks. You can use it for:

Comfy Handle
The handle of the Bushmate 2.0 is made from premium walnut wood, treated with Danish oil to enhance its beauty and protect it from the elements. The updated design gives you a secure grip, making it comfortable to use for long periods. We’ve also switched to new screws that make it easy to unscrew and change the scales if needed. This means you can customize or replace the handle for better comfort or style whenever you want.
Stylish New Sheath
We’re excited about the new leather sheaths for the Bushmate 2.0. They are handmade and stitched with strong nylon for durability. Not only do they protect the blade, but they also offer even easier carrying options. The knife is better secured in the sheath, and we now provide two types of carry options: a dangler and a fixed belt loop. This means you can choose the best way to wear your knife for your adventures.
