Product description
Gotur – the spirit of the forest, preserving the balance of nature
In the forest, every movement has consequences, every sound has an echo, and any intervention changes the space around it. It was in this environment that Gotur was born – a fixed-blade knife created by BPS Knives for reliable, practical outdoor use.
The image of Gotur comes from ancient tales about the forest guardian-observer. One who does not interfere unnecessarily and does not allow anything unnecessary. This character formed the basis of the knife: restrained, collected, devoid of ostentatiousness. Gotur is conceived as a bushcraft tool that supports a careful and balanced approach to working in nature.
D2 blade: working endurance
The blade of the Gotur knife is made of D2 steel with a hardness of 60–61 HRC. This is a high-carbon steel that has proven itself well in knives for regular use due to its high wear resistance and stable cutting edge retention. D2 is suitable for working with wood, products, leather, fibrous and dense materials. The blade does not require constant sharpening and retains its working edge under moderate loads, which is especially important if you need a reliable knife for hiking or a long stay in nature.
The blade length of 90 mm makes the knife versatile: compact enough for precise work and at the same time suitable for general cutting tasks. The blade geometry promotes a controlled cut without the need to apply excessive force.
Walnut handle: a natural material in work
The knife handle is made of natural walnut. This is a wood that is valued for its density, stability and pleasant tactile properties. The handle length of 115 mm provides a confident grip.
Bolster: Micarta and G10
A bolster made of a combination of Micarta and G10 is located between the blade and the handle. This element performs several functions at once: it reinforces the structure, protects the joint from moisture and adds stability during operation. The bolster materials are resistant to temperature changes and contact with water, which makes the knife suitable for use in natural conditions.
Complete set: leather sheath
The knife is equipped with a leather sheath with red stitching and red ties. The leather reliably protects the blade, is pleasant to use and is well suited for a knife with a natural character.
Leather sheath:
- holds the knife tightly;
- protects the blade during transportation;
- is convenient to carry in nature.
