BPS Knives in the mountains of Nepal: testing Island Peak and Everest

Some of our models have climbed to where everything is tested: endurance, reliability and character. We joined the KULUAR team, giving them the B1 SSH and BS1FT SSH knives so that they could pass a real test in the mountains. These tools went to where every gram of equipment is important, where accuracy and reliability determine the result, and where any mistake can have consequences.

KULUAR is a team that discovers new peaks and routes around the world. For such people, reliable equipment is not a luxury, but a necessity. Our knives accompanied the team during the ascent to Island Peak and the trek to Everest Base Camp. The photos we received captured moments of extreme conditions: frost and rare warm rays of sunlight above the peaks. Formally, the height of the base camp is 5364 meters, in fact, the climbers’ campsite is about 5250 meters above sea level. At these altitudes, even small details of equipment become critically important.

BPS Knives proved to be reliable helpers in all situations. They easily coped with basic tourist tasks: cutting ropes, preparing food, trimming materials. During active recreation and work in the camp, they were indispensable: cutting small branches, processing firewood, cooking food.
