For the second time, we became participants of one of the largest knife exhibitions in France — Coutellia. It was an opportunity to proudly represent Ukraine and showcase our knives to visitors from across Europe and beyond.

When a Ukrainian knife appears at a booth in the very heart of France, it’s more than just participation in an exhibition. It’s a combination of strength, tradition, and innovation — and a chance to present our company on the international stage.
Among the scent of leather, the gleam of steel, and conversations in different languages, one familiar name stood out — BPS Knives.

Stand BPS KnivesCoutellia: A Place Where Tradition Meets the Future

Coutellia is a historic event that annually gathers over 300 participants from dozens of countries and more than 7,000 visitors. The atmosphere is vibrant: well-known brands share space with newcomers; artisans from all over the world showcase their unique designs, materials, and craftsmanship. One of the highlights is the live blacksmithing show — a celebration of traditional knife-making in action.

And this year, we — BPS Knives — stood among the leading craftsmen of the world.
The exhibition took place in the picturesque town of Thiers, France, on May 17–18, 2025.

Feedback That Truly Matters

“Hearing someone say, ‘I came here just to see you because I’ve been following your work’ — that’s something no paid ad can buy.
It’s honest recognition that a Ukrainian knife can stand proudly among the best.
We talked about steels, handles, shapes — and about Ukraine.
And those conversations are priceless.”
— Serhii Bondarenko, co-founder of BPS Knives

Our booth featured both our bestsellers (Adventurer CSHF, BS1FT) and our new model — the Kharakternyk. We also presented several experimental prototypes that sparked great interest among visitors.

Which Knives Impressed and Stood Out

Visitors praised the quality of finish, balance, and ergonomic design of our knives.
We asked Serhii Bondarenko which models left the strongest impression:

“The absolute favorite was the Bush Axe CSH — a tool that caught the eye of every bushcraft enthusiast.
The HK2 and HK4 also received a lot of interest, and what touched us most — people appreciated our openness and willingness to engage.

What’s Next

Our team returned home full of inspiration, new contacts, ideas, and a strong drive to grow.
There’s so much ahead.

Coutellia 2025 proved one thing: a Ukrainian knife has its place among global brands.
This event gave us more than a platform — it marked a turning point, a new chapter in our journey.

We’ve already started implementing the feedback we received.
And most importantly, we saw true potential — not only for BPS Knives, but for all Ukrainian makers ready to step beyond borders.

Why Every Ukrainian Brand Should Consider It

“There’s nothing to be afraid of.
Exhibitions aren’t just about competition — they’re about being present.
It’s a way to say to the world: ‘Here we are. Take a look.’
And if you’re honest in what you do — people will notice you.”
— Serhii Bondarenko, co-founder of BPS Knives
