FINN UTH — COMPACT NORDIC-STYLE UTILITY KNIFE
Finn Uth is a compact utility knife created in a neoclassical Northern style inspired by traditional Finnish puukko knives and Scandinavian utility blades. Designed as a practical nordic bushcraft knife and compact nordic knife, it combines classic Nordic knife principles with a modern functional approach focused on clean cutting performance, comfortable carry, and reliable everyday use.
Built around the idea of a true Finnish puukko blade, Finn Uth follows the philosophy behind the classic nordic utility knife – simple geometry, controlled cutting, lightweight construction, and practical field performance without unnecessary complexity. The knife works naturally as an outdoor utility tool for carving, woodworking, camping, hiking, food preparation, and everyday carry.

BLADE
The blade is made from D2 tool steel hardened to 59–61 HRC, providing a balanced combination of edge retention, durability, and working toughness. The Raw Finish preserves the handmade character of the blade and emphasizes the rugged utilitarian appearance typical for traditional Nordic working knives and traditional Finnish cutting knife designs.
The scandi grind utility knife geometry delivers excellent edge control during carving, woodworking, feather stick preparation, and detailed utility cutting tasks. Inspired by authentic Finnish knife traditions, the blade profile focuses on precision and efficiency rather than oversized heavy-duty construction.

HANDLE
The handle is crafted from ash wood and treated with Danish Oil for moisture resistance, durability, and a natural tactile feel in hand. A micarta bolster adds strength to the construction while creating a subtle contrast between wood and steel.

CONSTRUCTION
Finn Uth features a Rat Tail tang construction that keeps the knife lightweight, responsive, and well balanced during detailed cutting work.

A plastic liner insert inside the sheath helps protect both the cutting edge and the stitching from direct blade contact during repeated use. This construction improves durability over time and allows for safer blade insertion and removal without excessive wear on the leather interior.
